Sporting Clays

Here at Otter Valley Rod & Gun Club one of the activities offered is called Sporting Clays. Sporting Clays is a shooting game played at multiple stations placed throughout the property. Sporting Clays is called by many a hunting game in which you shoot at clay targets that represent real life hunting situations.

Sporting Clays is generally on the first and third Sunday of each month but this is subject to change from time to time depending on other activities taking place at the club. Sporting Clay dates are posted on the chalkboard in the clubhouse and on the website.

Sign in starts at 8:30 am and shooting starts at 9:00 am or after. The cost for members is $ 15.00 for 50 targets and $ 25.00 for 100 targets. Cost for non-members is $ 19.00 for 50 targets and $ 35.00 for 100 targets. Juniors receive a discounted price.

Prices, dates etc. are subject to change without notice. Sign in will end at 10 am unless we are busy. Most people use a 12ga. or 20ga. O/U, SXS, Semi-Automatic or Pump Gun. Gun must be able to hold a minimum of 2 shells at a time.

The Sporting Clay discipline is fun for the whole family.
